What Should I Pay Attention To When Installing The Internal Grinding Wheel?

Sep 09, 2024

1. The end faces of the extended shaft and the screws that bear the grinding wheel of the double-end grinder cannot be uneven, and the contact surface cannot be too small, otherwise the friction area will be reduced and the reliability of the tightening of the internal grinding wheel cannot be guaranteed.

2. The rotation direction of the fastening screw cannot be the same as that of the double-end surface grinder grinding wheel, otherwise the internal grinding wheel will automatically loosen under the grinding force. At present, the grinding wheel rotation direction of the double-end surface grinder and universal external grinding machine we produce is counterclockwise, so the direction of the fastening screw should be right-handed.

3. The clearance between the inner hole of the double-end grinder grinding wheel and the journal of the extended shaft should not be too large or too small. If it is too small, the grinding wheel will easily burst; if it is too large, the grinding wheel will be overweight and cause vibration. The clearance between the internal grinding wheel and the extended shaft is related to the fastening method. It should not exceed 0.2mm when fastened with screws, and should not exceed 0.3mm when fastened with adhesives. If the clearance is too large, you can insert a piece of paper between the extended shaft and the inner hole of the internal grinding wheel to narrow the clearance.

4. The two end faces of the double-end grinding wheel cannot directly contact the shoulder of the connecting shaft and the end face of the screw, but should be padded with soft pads such as yellow paper, with a thickness of 0.2mm~0.3mm. This can make the internal grinding wheel evenly stressed and securely fastened.
