Description
Silicon nitride is an important structural ceramic material. It is a superhard material, an atomic crystal, which has the characteristics of lubricated by itself, resistant to oxidation at high temperatures, resistant to wear and tear, and resistant to the cold and heat shock. In addition, when heated in the air to more than 1000℃, it will not break even if it is cooled sharply first and then heated sharply. Because of its excellent properties, the silicon nitride ceramic rings are often used to manufacture mechanical components such as bearings, turbine blades, mechanical sealing rings and permanent moulds.
Furthermore, if the heating surface of engine parts is made of silicon nitride ceramic which resistant to high temperature and heat transfer, it can not only improve the quality of diesel engine and save fuel, but also improve the thermal efficiency.
