Brown Fused Alumina can be reused multiple times as a sandblasting abrasive. The actual number of reuse cycles depends on several factors, including the material being processed, particle size, hardness, and the grade of brown fused alumina.
For example, when using 24 and 36 mesh brown fused alumina:
● First-grade brown fused alumina can be used more than 8 times.
● Second-grade brown fused alumina can be used more than 6 times.
● Third-grade brown fused alumina can be used more than 4 times.
However, the classification of brown fused alumina is not only based on reuse times but also on the amount of dust generated during operation. As environmental protection becomes a national priority, using higher-quality brown fused alumina helps reduce large amounts of dust during sandblasting. At the same time, higher reuse rates lower enterprise costs.
When used for sandblasting, brown fused alumina effectively removes scratches, rust, and oil from metal surfaces, improving appearance and preparing the surface for further processing. Based on alumina content, it is classified into first, second, and third grades. By specification, it can be divided into particles and powder. By shape, it can be classified into angular abrasives and spherical (non-angular) abrasives.
