1. White aluminum oxide production process
Raw material processing
Raw material selection: Industrial grade high-purity alumina powder (Al₂O₃≥99%) is used as the core raw material, supplemented with a small amount of additives (such as magnesium oxide, calcium oxide, etc.) to optimize performance.
Crushing and grinding: The raw materials are crushed to the target particle size (usually 0.1-5mm) by jaw crushers, ball mills and other equipment, and preliminary impurities are removed.
Melting and molding
Pouring method: The raw materials are melted at high temperature (≥2000℃) in an electric arc furnace and cooled to form white aluminum oxide blocks 47.
Melt method: Graphite or white aluminum oxide refractory materials are used as furnace linings, which are directly cooled and solidified after high-temperature melting.
Melting process: Molding method: The molten white aluminum oxide blocks are crushed and screened to form granular "grained sand", or processed into a specific shape (such as a mold blank) by a pressing molding process.
Crushing and Classification
The white aluminum oxide blocks are crushed twice using the Barmac production line, and finished products of different particle sizes (such as F4-F220 international standard particle size) are obtained through screening or airflow classification. Fine powder products need to be dried after hydraulic pressure process and microscope inspection to make micro powder (particle size can be as low as micron level).
Post-processing and quality inspection
Surface treatment: Improve wear resistance and corrosion resistance through processes such as pickling, shot blasting or coating 34.
Iron removal and magnetic separation: Magnetic separation equipment is used to remove iron impurities to ensure purity (Fe2O₃ content <0.1%).
Quality inspection and packaging: After passing hardness tests, chemical analysis and other tests, it is packaged according to 25kg/bag or ton bag specifications, and marked with information such as particle size and purpose.
2. Types and applications of white aluminum oxide finished products
Basic products
Granular sand: spherical or angular particles, used for sandblasting and grinding tool manufacturing (such as grinding wheels, cutting discs).
Micro powder: ultrafine powder (particle size ≤ 10μm), suitable for precision polishing, electronic component processing and other fields.
Deeply processed products
Refractory materials: refractory bricks and castables made of white aluminum oxide as the base material, used for high-temperature furnace lining (temperature resistance ≥ 1750℃).
Composite abrasive tools: high-precision abrasive tools combined with resin/ceramic, used for grinding materials such as cemented carbide and stainless steel.
Special purpose products
Insulation materials: porous white aluminum oxide products, used for industrial furnace insulation, heat loss can be reduced to less than 4%.
Sandblasting media: high-hardness particles, suitable for metal surface rust removal, oxide layer cleaning and other processes.
