Description
Depressed center cut off wheels are high strength, high cut rate, bonded abrasive discs used for slicing metals including steel, sheet metal, cast iron and stainless steel. Each cutting disc is designed with double reinforced, high tensile strength fiberglass mesh webs which protect from shattering and provide higher lateral resilience. Additionally, these cut off wheels feature heat treated premium aluminum oxide grains for quick cutting and durability.
Depressed center cut off wheels designed for cutting on various metal working applications including steel, structural steel and sheet metal. Manufactured from premium quality aluminium oxide, which has been resin bonded and reinforced with fibreglass to improve the strength and performance of the wheel. The bore has a stainless-steel ring to allow the cutting disc to be safely mounted onto the machine.
This wheel is designed for use in angle grinders and is ideal for all types of metal/stainless steel materials. These cut off wheels are designed for cutting fiberglass, steel, Iron, plastic, stainless steel, and other ferrous metals. These wheels are internally reinforced with high tensile strength fiberglass. Highly refined ingredients will not contaminate stainless steel. It offers fast cool cutting that allows the operator to work with minimum pressure and a reduced heat-affected zone during cutting minimizes burr creation.

Step 1
When the adapter is tightened, there should be a slight gap between the flange and the wheel. This ensures that the clamping pressure is only applied to the center of the hub section.
Step 2
The outside portion of the flange face adjacent to the grinding wheel should be tapered so that the entire width of the flange supports the grinding wheel during the grinding operation.
Step 3
A paper washer should not be used on the hub section of a depressed-centre wheel.
