The service life of a cutting wheel depends on many factors, such as the quality of the raw material, the frequency of use and the operator's technique when cutting.
Generally speaking, when the cutting disc has the following conditions, it should be replaced in time:
1. Determine when to replace the cutting wheel based on the outer diameter.
For example, when using a 4.5-inch cutting wheel to cut a 12mm stainless steel pipe, the remaining grinding wheel should be 60mm to 65mm. Don't wear it out to the end just to save money.
2. pay attention to the expiration date of the cutting disc.
The expiration date is usually three years. We also print the expiration month and year on the cutting disc ring to make it easier for you to determine whether it can continue to be used.
3. Observe the condition of the cutting wheel to determine when to replace it.
(1) When the cutting disc is cracked or broken, it needs to be replaced with a new one.
(2) When the cutting efficiency of the cutting wheel decreases, the cutting accuracy decreases, or the cutting surface becomes tilted, notched, or damaged, it indicates that the quality of the cutting wheel has deteriorated and needs to be replaced in time.
It should be noted that the frequency of replacing cutting discs varies from person to person and needs to be judged based on specific circumstances. When using resin cutting discs, pay attention to safety, comply with relevant operating regulations, and wear protective equipment such as gloves and goggles to avoid accidental injuries.
