Description

Metallographic cutting wheel or blades are mainly used for sample cutting during metallographic sample preparation. The metallographic cutting wheel is a wet-type abrasive cutting blade that is born from the ordinary grinding wheel cutting. After improving the cutting accuracy and cutting temperature control, a metallographic cutting blade suitable for metallographic sample preparation is formed. There are three types of resin cutting blades and diamond sintered cutting blades.

1.Material technology

All cutting blades are made of high-strength resin and preferred special abrasives. The HRD (HRB) series mainly uses alumina (silicon carbide) and diamond particles are attached as the main abrasive. The cutting blades have high cutting efficiency and long service life.

HRD and HRB series both use high-strength resin and preferred abrasives, which are sharp and difficult to crack.

3.Shallow heat affected layer

During the cutting process, the two end faces have been pre-ground, which provides a perfect prerequisite for sample preparation.

The difference between metallographic cutting wheel and ordinary cutting wheel:

1. Thickness of cutting sheet: Metallographic cutting sheet is thinner than general wet-type grinding wheel. For example, the thickness of 300mm diameter aluminum oxide general sheet is 3.2-3.8mm thick, and the gold photo is 1.5-2mm thick. The thinner is for better control of cutting. The plastic deformation of the material structure caused by cutting stress during the feeding process can also better control the accuracy of the cutting position.

2. Elasticity of cutting sheet: The elasticity of gold photo is better than that of general-purpose sheet. The elasticity is better, which can better buffer the plastic deformation of the sample tissue brought by the feeding load. It is more flexible to adapt to the metallographic cutting. Changes in cutting torque output.

3. High-efficiency tablets and precision tablets: Gold photos are also subdivided into high-efficiency tablets and precision cutting tablets according to the difference in cutting accuracy. The resin content of the precision cutting tablets is higher, the elasticity is better, and the thickness of the cutting tablets is thinner.
