A bearing is a mechanical transmission component whose function is to reduce the friction between two workpieces, usually a rotating body. In the bearing manufacturing process, processes such as centerless grinding, cylindrical grinding, internal grinding, and face grinding are involved, and each process requires the cooperation of abrasives.
The outer circumference of the bearing ring often needs to be processed by a centerless grinding. Generally speaking, segmented centerless grinding can achieve very high precision. Mainly divided into rough grinding, semi-fine grinding, and fine grinding. At each stage, enough allowance is removed to ensure that the next stage of grinding will not cause problems such as burns or chatter marks. The finely ground product can reach the finished dimensional accuracy. Centerless grinding is also used to machine small-sized rolling elements such as rollers and needles.
2. Cylindrical Grinding:
Some large-sized bearings and rollers are machined using plunge or oscillating cylindrical grinding. The grinding process is divided into rough grinding, semi-finishing, fine grinding and non-sparking grinding due to the use of different application parameters. The outer groove grinding of the inner ring is also a kind of outer circle machining.
3. Internal Grinding:
The inner hole processing of the inner ring of the bearing and the inner raceway processing of the outer ring can be processed by internal grinding by plunge or oscillation. The grinding process is divided into rough grinding, semi-finishing, fine grinding and non-sparking grinding due to the use of different application parameters. The inner ring processing is called inner hole grinding. The outer ring processing is called outer ring inner raceway grinding. Because the inner raceway of the outer ring is in direct contact with the rolling elements, the machining accuracy is usually higher than that of the inner hole of the inner ring.

4. End Grinding:
For small and medium-sized bearing ring end faces, it is usually processed by double-face grinding. The thickness tolerance, flatness and parallelism of the bearing ring are guaranteed by this grinding method. For large size bearing rings, face grinding of sand pads is usually used.
◆ Bearing Ring (outer ring) Grinding
The outer ring of the bearing is the housing part of the bearing design. The inner raceway of the outer ring surrounds the rolling elements. Related applications such as centerless grinding, cylindrical grinding, double-end grinding, face grinding, internal grinding, outer ring grinding, outer ring inner groove grinding, ultra-fine polishing, etc.

◆ Bearing Ring (inner ring) Grinding
The inner ring of the bearing is the part installed on the shaft in the bearing design, and the outer raceway of the inner ring mainly supports the rolling elements.
Related applications such as cylindrical grinding, internal grinding, double-end grinding, internal hole grinding, ultra-fine polishing of inner ring and outer groove, etc.

◆ Rolling Element Grinding
The rolling element is the core component of the bearing. Due to its existence, the relative moving surfaces have rolling friction. The types of rolling elements include balls, cylindrical rollers, tapered rollers, needle rollers, etc. Related applications such as bearing industry, centerless grinding, cylindrical grinding, face grinding, etc.
