Microstructure
The low carbon steel shot has a bainite structure (isothermal transformation), and the bainite structure has strong impact resistance and stable performance. High carbon steel shot has a martensitic structure.

Raw Materials
Mild steel shot is produced from new scrap steel with high quality, low carbon content, low residue, low phosphorus and sulfur. Not heat treated. Guarantees the hardness of the steel shot.
High carbon steel shot is generally made of various scrap steels with high carbon content (about 1%), which is produced when high carbon steel is melted and then atomized by water flow. The violent quenching causes cracks on the surface of the steel shot, and the hardness is very high. It is suitable for surface cleaning, so after further heat treatment to reduce the hardness, it is obvious that the cracks on the surface of the steel shot will become larger and larger.
Consumption
Due to its structure, low carbon steel shot has high toughness and is not easy to be broken. The number of repeated cycles reaches about 3600 times, and the consumption is reduced by more than 20% compared with the same high quality high carbon steel shot.
Equipment Wear
Since the low carbon steel shot is always round, the contact between the equipment and the steel plate is always smooth. , but also cause a passive situation of long maintenance time and downtime!
The maintenance cost of low carbon steel shot on equipment wear is at least 15% lower than that of high carbon steel shot.
Dust Emissions
Due to the fragmentation of the high carbon steel shot, a large amount of dust is rapidly generated in the equipment, and the generated dust increases the load of the dust removal system and reduces the life of the filter belt. The dust will also be greatly reduced, and the dust emission will be reduced by at least 20%.

Brightness
The steel plate thrown by the low carbon steel shot is brighter than the steel plate thrown by the high carbon steel shot.
