Renovation masters and hardware enthusiasts, please take a look! Choosing the right cutting disc can double your cutting efficiency and be safer; choosing the wrong one can cause the disc to break, the machine to jam, and even endanger your personal safety! Today, I will teach you how to choose the right cutting disc from 0 to 1, so hurry up and save it~
1. These misunderstandings in purchasing cutting discs, 90% of people have stepped on them
❌ "The harder the better"? If the hardness is not right, the stone will become "gravel"!
❌ "You can choose any size"? If the saw blade is too big or too small, the machine will "strike" directly!
❌ "Cheap is fine"? If you use a low-quality cutting blade once, you will regret it!
2. Three factors for purchasing, accurate matching of needs
⑴ Look at the cutting material and prescribe the right medicine
Metal cutting: Choose diamond cutting discs with special coolant, which are wear-resistant and high-temperature-resistant, and can cut stainless steel and steel pipes without jamming!
Stone/ceramic tiles: Brazed diamond discs are the first choice, with MAX sharpness, and smooth edges without chipping when cutting marble and ceramic tiles!
Wood: High-speed steel cutting discs are enough, with fine teeth and smooth cut surface, DIY woodworking is super worry-free~
⑵ Look for the size specifications and say no to "misfits"
Diameter matching: select according to the maximum compatible diameter marked on the cutting machine. Common specifications are 105mm, 150mm, and 230mm. A small machine with a large saw blade = "life-threatening"!
Aperture matching: The center hole of the saw blade must perfectly match the machine shaft diameter. If the error exceeds 0.5mm, it will shake violently!
⑶ Check the brand quality, safety is the bottom line
✅ Look for 3C certification: Cutting discs without certification will be directly passed!
✅ Look at the base material: high-quality cutting discs use high-carbon steel base, which is tough and not easy to deform or break.
✅ Observe the cutting surface: a good saw blade has a flat edge, no missing corners or cracks, and a uniform frosted texture.
3. Tips for use, extend life and be safer
⚠️ Check the tightness of the saw blade during installation. If it is too loose, it will slip easily, and if it is too tight, it will damage the machine
⚠️ Advance at a constant speed during cutting to avoid sudden stops and sudden turns
⚠️ Replace it immediately if it is worn more than 1/3, don't take safety risks!
