1. The calcination process makes brown fused alumina more wear-resistant, has stronger grinding force, and possesses greater toughness. Calcination oxidizes the substances in the brown fused alumina, causing the crystal lattice to shrink, making the material more compressive and high-strength. Simultaneously, the internal stress of the particles increases during calcination. This allows calcined brown aluminum oxide to be processed into a variety of abrasive products.

 

2. After satin sintering, the brown fused alumina material expands and breaks due to the iron corundum wrapped around the surface. If the material is magnetic, it will easily absorb the magnetic force, reducing the material's magnetic content. At the same time, converting the calcined brown aluminum oxide into abrasive tools will not cause rust, improving the appearance and cutting performance of the abrasive tools.

 

3. After calcining brown fused alumina at several hundred degrees Celsius for approximately two hours, its hydrophilicity increases several times. Research has found that impurities on the surface of the brown fused alumina are removed very thoroughly. Burning substances with lower melting points makes calcined brown aluminum oxide more durable when made into grinding tools.
