Zinc shot and aluminum shot are both shot blasting materials from a functional point of view.
Zinc pellets are brighter in appearance, with high specific gravity and low hardness of zinc. While removing burrs on the surface of the product, it can not wear the surface of the product. It is widely used in the cleaning and deburring of zinc and aluminum products, and everyone will call zinc pills "the beautician of metal surfaces".

The aluminum shot is the same as the zinc shot, with a brighter appearance and a cylindrical shape. Aluminum shot is often used for surface blasting of aluminum, zinc or thin-walled workpieces. Different from zinc shot, aluminum shot has a light specific gravity, but the hardness is also lower than that of zinc shot. When polishing the product, it can not wear the surface of the product, and can whiten the surface of the workpiece.

Generally speaking, zinc shot and aluminum shot are mainly used for sand cleaning, burr removal and mirror finishing of parts, and aluminum shot and zinc shot can produce a soft blow effect during operation.
Of course, there are also differences between them. If aluminum pellets treat the surface of the workpiece and do not pay attention to dust treatment, the generated dust will cause an explosion. In contrast, zinc pellets are much safer, and the probability of causing an explosion is only one tenth of that of aluminum pellets. Therefore, zinc pellets are used. Deburring or polishing castings provides a higher level of safety. When surface treatment of steel parts or non-ferrous metal parts, iron-containing impurities are not allowed. At this time, zinc shot cleaning is the most ideal.
