Similarities And Differences Between Sandblasted Brown Aluminum Oxide And Pink Aluminum Oxide

Dec 13, 2024

1. Let's first understand the difference between pink aluminum oxide and brown aluminum oxide: pink aluminum oxide is made of alumina powder as raw material, adapted to chromium oxide, etc., and smelted at high temperature. It is pink, with a hardness similar to that of white aluminum oxide, and higher toughness than white aluminum oxide. The abrasives made of it have good durability and high grinding finish. It is suitable for precision grinding such as measuring tools, machine tool spindles, instrument parts, threaded workpieces and model grinders.

2. Uses of brown aluminum oxide: Mainly used in refractory materials, grinding wheels, and sandblasting. It is widely used in aluminum profiles, copper profile glass, washed jeans precision molds and other fields; brown aluminum oxide is a grinding-grade abrasive and is used for free grinding in many fields.

3. Uses of pink aluminum oxide: Depending on the type of raw materials, no or less reducing agent (such as anthracite) is added to its ingredients. It is melted at a high temperature of more than 2200°C in an electric arc furnace, and then injected into the model, and made into products through heat treatment and mechanical processing. It has high strength, especially strong resistance to glass liquid corrosion. It is mainly used for the lining of glass melting furnaces. In addition to being cast into products, it can also be used as raw material for recombination products and unshaped refractory materials.
