1. Storage of grinding wheels
◆ The grinding wheel should be stored in a stable and dry place, and the room temperature should not be lower than 5°C. The grinding wheel should be placed on a shelf with a wooden pad. The stacking should not be too high, preferably 1.5 meters. One side is crushed and collapsed, and it is easy to move. It will not hurt people and damage the grinding wheel due to being too high.
◆ Resin, rubber, and magnesite bonded grinding wheels, which have been stored for more than one year, must be tested by replay strength rotation, and can only be used after being confirmed to be qualified. When the thin-section grinding wheels are stacked naked, a certain load should be placed on the stack top to prevent bridge corrugation from deforming.
◆ Resin, rubber, and magnesite bonded grinding wheels should be stored in a dry and ventilated place, and should not be in contact with acid and alkali substances, otherwise the strength and grinding ability of the grinding wheel will be affected.
◆ The grinding wheel is afraid of bumping, colliding, falling and strong vibration. It is strictly forbidden to roll during the transportation process. It should be handled with care to prevent broken, cracks, dark lines, edge falling and other phenomena caused by vibration and impact, so as to ensure safe use.
2. Installation and use of grinding wheel
◆ The installation and use of the grinding wheel and the requirements for the equipment used shall be carried out in accordance with the regulations.
◆ After receiving the grinding wheel, the user must carefully check and accept it to see if there are cracks and damages. It is normal to lightly tap the grinding wheel with a small wooden mallet of 200-300 grams and it should make a crisp sound. The strength rotation test should be carried out before use and installation, and the grinding wheel without the rotation test is strictly forbidden to be installed and used.
◆ When the grinding wheel is installed, it should be fastened with a flange. The diameter of the flange should not be less than one-third of the diameter of the installed grinding wheel. The outer diameter of the two flanges and the radial width of the pressing surface must be equal. A gasket made of elastic material should be placed between the flange and the grinding wheel, and its thickness is 1.0~1.5mm.
◆ When fastening the grinding wheel, it should be moderately tight. Only use a special manual nut wrench to tighten the nuts. It is strictly forbidden to use extended wrench such as sleeves or beat fastening tools to prevent artificial damage to the grinding wheel.
◆ After the grinding wheel is installed, the idling test run should not be less than 2 minutes, and it can be used only after everything is normal.
◆ The maximum operating linear speed of the grinding wheel shall not exceed the working linear speed marked on the grinding wheel.
◆ When processing the workpiece, it is forbidden to push the workpiece with a lever and increase the pressure on the grinding wheel.
◆ Grinding wheels with an outer diameter of 150mm and larger should be balanced after being mounted on the flange, and then installed on the grinding machine for correction. After correction, they should be balanced again before use.
◆ Grinding wheels that are not dedicated to work on the end face should not be used to grind workpieces on the end face of the grinding wheel.
◆ Resin bonded grinding wheels cannot work in coolants containing more than 1.5% alkaline substances.
◆ When the grinding machine does not work with coolant, it must be equipped with a dust removal device.
◆ Grinders and grinders should have safety guards that can cover more than half of the diameter of the grinding wheel.
◆ The workshop or site where the grinding wheel is used should have safety operating procedures for the installation, use and slewing strength inspection of the grinding wheel.
◆ There should be sufficient lighting at the work site.
◆ Operators must undergo safety education and work with a certificate.
