Zirconia fused alumina, ZA40 and ZA25, two abrasives, with different zirconium oxide content. ZA40 is expensive but of good quality. ZA25 is cheap and can play a key role in zirconium corundum.
Zirconia fused alumina is more widely used in coated abrasives and is used for surface polishing and grinding of high manganese, high nickel and titanium alloy materials. Features: good removal performance and no burning. When ordinary white aluminum oxide and brown aluminum oxide cannot be ground and the grinding removal is insufficient, zirconium corundum abrasives and grinding tools can play a very key role.
There are not many manufacturers that use zirconia fused alumina abrasives for the production of bonded resin grinding wheels due to differences in the formula system. First, zirconium corundum abrasives are more expensive than ordinary abrasives, which is several times the price of ordinary abrasives. Second, the existing process technology cannot make the performance of zirconia fused alumina less than 100%, which is reflected in the products. The overall cost performance of zirconium corundum is not high. Third, without real users and corresponding markets, most resin grinding wheel manufacturers cannot study the in-depth application of zirconia fused alumina grinding wheels.
In fact, zirconia fused alumina grinding wheels are extremely cost-effective in high-end application scenarios. The grinding of stainless steel alloy parts for large shipbuilding and aerospace, grinding of hard titanium alloys, and special welding rod welding weld scars have extremely high grinding efficiency. Brown aluminum oxide and white aluminum oxide systems are difficult to grind and slip when grinding such weld scars, and there is no grinding feel at all. Zirconium corundum grinding wheels are different, with high efficiency and feel for grinding difficult-to-grind workpieces. It is equivalent to the effect of brown aluminum oxide and white aluminum oxide systems grinding 45# carbon steel.
Zirconia fused alumina is underestimated. Without the guidance of market demand, real and effective zirconium corundum grinding wheels cannot be developed. Everything has its own laws, and the same is true for zirconia fused alumina grinding wheels. They can truly and effectively serve the terminal market, and they are truly good quality grinding wheels.
