Super thin cutting wheels are primarily used for precision grooving and cutting, typically employing a deep-cut, slow-feed grinding method. They feature a large grinding depth, low feed rate, large contact area between the grinding wheel and the workpiece, narrow cutting kerf, high metal removal rate, high grinding accuracy, excellent surface finish, and high material utilization.
Precautions for using super thin cutting wheels:
1. Before installing the super thin cutting wheel, please inspect it carefully to ensure there are no deformations, cracks, or chipping.
2. If the flange is too small or has poor precision, it can easily damage the cutting wheel; please improve it before use.
3. When the super thin cutting wheel has a marked rotation direction, it must match the rotation direction of the machine tool. Otherwise, the cutting will not be sharp, and the performance of the cutting wheel will be compromised.
4. Using a cutting wheel that is not suitable for the workpiece being cut can easily lead to abnormal wear, poor sharpness, and abnormal overheating.
5. If any abnormality is detected during the cutting process, stop the machine immediately.
6. When the cutting becomes dull, the super thin cutting wheel should be dressed and sharpened. Continued use without sharpening will lead to overheating and overloading, causing the grinding wheel to break.
7. During grinding wheel rotation, it is strictly forbidden to operate the cutting process by hand, and hands and body parts must not come into contact with the grinding wheel.
8. Super thin cutting wheels are strictly prohibited from being used for operations other than grooving or cutting, to avoid abnormalities caused by uneven force distribution.
