Usage:
1. Prepare tools:
- Sharpening stone (usually made of carbide)
- Copper or iron rod as support
- Water or other cleaning agent (optional)
2. Select workpiece:
- Select workpieces of different materials for grinding as needed. For metal materials, use copper rods for fine grinding; for wood or stone, use sandpaper for rough grinding.
3. Preparation:
- Before starting to grind, wash the workpiece with water to ensure that the surface of the workpiece is clean.
- If there is oil or dust on the workpiece, you can wipe it clean with a soft cloth first.
4. Grinding process:
- Fix the workpiece on the copper or iron rod.
- The sharpening stone should be placed stably to avoid damage caused by excessive pressure.
- Start from one side of the workpiece and gradually move the sharpening stone to the other side.
- During the grinding process, pay attention to the changes in the workpiece and adjust the position and angle of the sharpening stone in time.
- Stop grinding when the surface of the workpiece is smooth.
5. Treatment results:
- If sand holes or scratches appear, they can be gently repaired with sandpaper or fine sandpaper.
- If necessary, alcohol or other solvents can be used to clean the residue on the surface of the workpiece.
Precautions:
Safety first: When operating the sharpening stone, always wear protective glasses and gloves to avoid injury.
Correct posture: Keep your body upright and avoid bending over to reduce pressure on your joints.
Appropriate hardness: Choose the appropriate sharpening stone hardness according to the needs of the workpiece. Too high or too low will affect the grinding effect.
Clean working environment: Keep the work area clean and tidy, and avoid using toxic chemicals.
