Green silicon carbide is translucent green in color and has superior hardness and purity to black silicon carbide. It is suitable for grinding hard alloys, metals, and hard and brittle non-metallic materials such as copper, brass, aluminum, gemstones, optical glass, and ceramics.
Green silicon carbide grinding wheel usage steps
1. When installing, the safety quality of the green silicon carbide grinding wheel must be tested first.
Method: Use a nylon hammer to tap the side of the green silicon carbide grinding wheel. If the sound is crisp, then there is no problem. Positioning problem: The location of the grinding wheel is the first thing we need to consider during the installation process. Only when a reasonable and appropriate location is selected can we proceed with other work.
2. The grinding machine is prohibited from being installed facing nearby equipment and operators or in places where people frequently pass by. Generally, a dedicated grinding machine room should be set up in larger workshops.
3. If a dedicated grinding machine room cannot be set up due to the limitations of the factory terrain, a protective baffle with a height of not less than 1.8m should be installed in front of the grinding machine, and the baffle must be firm and effective.
The harm caused by the imbalance of green silicon carbide grinding wheel is mainly manifested in two aspects. On the one hand, when the green silicon carbide grinding wheel rotates at high speed, it causes vibration, which can easily cause polygonal vibration marks on the surface of the workpiece; on the other hand, the imbalance accelerates the vibration of the spindle and the wear of the bearings. In severe cases, it will cause the green silicon carbide grinding wheel to break and even cause accidents.
