Chrome corundum is pink, with a hardness similar to that of white aluminum oxide and a toughness higher than that of white aluminum oxide. White aluminum oxide is made of grinding tools with good wear resistance and high grinding accuracy, and is suitable for precision grinding of measuring tools, machine tool spindles, instrument parts, threaded parts and template grinding.

 

 

White aluminum oxide is mainly used in the metallurgical industry to produce ferrochrome and metallic chromium. Ferrochrome alloys are used as steel additives to produce various special steels with high strength, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, high temperature resistance and oxidation resistance, such as stainless steel, acid-resistant steel, heat-resistant steel, ball bearing steel, spring steel, tool steel, etc. Chromium is mainly used to smelt special alloys such as cobalt, nickel, and tungsten. These special steels and special alloys are necessary materials in aerospace, automobiles, and shipbuilding. In refractory materials, chromite is used to produce chrome bricks, chrome-magnesia bricks and other special refractory materials.

 

In addition, white aluminum oxide is made of industrial alumina powder, which is melted and cooled at a temperature above 2000 degrees. After grinding and molding, iron powder magnetic separation, and screening into various particles, it has a dense texture, high hardness, and sharp corners. It is suitable for ceramics, resin-bonded grinders, grinding, polishing, sandblasting, precision casting (precision casting corundum), etc. It can also be used to manufacture high-grade refractory materials such as ceramics and resin-bonded abrasives.
