There are six main methods of workpiece polishing: mechanical polishing, chemical polishing, electrolytic polishing, ultrasonic polishing, fluid polishing, and magnetic grinding polishing.
Polishing with brown aluminum oxide abrasives belongs to mechanical polishing, which takes advantage of the moderate hardness, good sharpness, and good toughness of brown aluminum oxide itself. It is a raw material often used in surface grinding and polishing of workpieces, and is also the main material for polishing and grinding materials.
Brown aluminum oxide polishing abrasives are mainly used for rough polishing of workpiece surfaces, and sometimes for medium polishing of workpiece surfaces. In industry, it is generally used for grinding burrs, flashes, and oxide layers on the surface of workpieces, so that the excess parts of the surface of the polished product are removed.
Three factors:
1. In terms of the workpiece material, its adaptability should be considered. After all, some workpieces cannot be completed by brown aluminum oxide polishing abrasives alone.
2. The shape of the workpiece should be considered, such as holes, threads, etc., which will have higher requirements for polishing abrasives.
3. Various factors of the work should be considered, which is uncertain.
There are many types and specifications of brown aluminum oxide polishing abrasives, the purpose of which is to polish every aspect of different workpieces. For example, the commonly used triangular polishing abrasives, cylindrical polishing abrasives and spherical polishing abrasives for special workpieces, and other shapes include cubes, oblique triangles, etc.
